After the announcement of the sentence, Navjot Singh Sidhu gave the first reaction, said – the decision is accepted

Cricketer-turned-politician, former Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu has been sentenced to one year by the Supreme Court in a 34-year-old road rage case. The Supreme Court has changed its decision given four years ago. He was then released on a fine of one thousand rupees. After this, a review petition was filed in this case on behalf of the victim’s family and then the Supreme Court gave the verdict. On the other hand, Sidhu’s first reaction after the verdict has come to the fore.

In fact, the Supreme Court on Thursday sentenced Navjot Singh Sidhu to one year imprisonment in the 1988 road rage case. Navjot Sidhu’s reaction has come after the verdict. He wrote in one of his tweets that he accepts the decision of the law. According to reports, Congress leaders are currently in Patiala. There he is discussing with his legal team.

It is being told that after this decision of the Supreme Court, Sidhu will either be arrested, or he will surrender. Punjab Police will have to follow the law in this matter. The Supreme Court has not granted any relief to Sidhu for surrender or stay on arrest. Sidhu will have to go to jail today. Sidhu may be sent to Patiala Jail to serve the sentence.

Experts also say that Navjot Singh Sidhu can ask the Supreme Court for more time to surrender before the police in this matter. However, the Supreme Court will consider it on the same grounds, which Sidhu has mentioned in his petition. Thus, it looks difficult that he may get more time to surrender.
