CBI, Sisodia and Politics, Congress’s performance in Delhi; Slogans demanded resignation

Congress spokesperson Shama Mohammad on Saturday demanded the resignation of Manish Sisodia over his alleged involvement in a corruption case in implementing the Delhi Excise Policy.The party has made this demand at a time when the CBI team raided the Deputy CM’s house for about 15 hours.Congress leaders Alka Lamba and Abhishek Dutt also say that Manish Sisodia should resign from his post.

Earlier, Delhi Congress chief Anil Kumar had said that the party had written to the then Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana in June, informing him about a scam of crores of rupees in illegal distribution of liquor licenses to fake companies.According to Rakesh, no action was taken on this despite his appeal.On the other hand, according to Sisodia, the CBI has seized computers, phones and some documents after a 15-hour raid at his house.

Sisodia, who appeared before the media after the raids, said the CBI was being controlled “from above”.“We haven’t done anything wrong,” he said.We are not afraid.We have worked sincerely for the people.CBI has confiscated my phone and computer.I have the blessings of the families of lakhs of students.We will not stop and continue to provide good service through good hospitals and schools.
