Virat Kohli will play his 100th Test at this ground, not in Bangalore, changes in the series schedule with Sri Lanka

Former India captain Virat Kohli will no longer be able to play the historic 100th Test match of his career at his favorite M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Chinnaswamy Stadium is the home ground of Kohli’s IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and it was believed that he would achieve the big milestone of his career at this ground. However, this will not happen now as Kohli will play his 100th Test match at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium in Mohali, not in Bengaluru.

According to the Cricbuzz report, there has been a change in the schedule of the series between India and Sri Lanka and so has the venue of Virat’s 100th Test match. Sri Lanka has to play two Test and three match T20 series on India tour. The visiting team will now start the India tour with the first T20 match in Lucknow, as per the new schedule.

The first match of the T20 series will be played on February 24. At the same time, the second match will be held on 26 February and the third T20 match will be held at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala.

According to the report, after Dharamsala, both the teams will leave for Mohali, where the first match of the two-match Test series will be played from March 3 to 7 at the PCA Stadium. This match will be the 100th Test match of former Indian captain Virat’s career.

The second match of the Test series will be played in Bengaluru from March 12 to 16. However, it is not yet decided whether this match will be a Day-Night Test or not because neither the team management nor the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has given any official information about this yet.
