World record made in Chandigarh, 7000 students made human tricolor in cricket stadium

On 15th August, on the occasion of 75th anniversary of the country, the tricolor yatra has started across the country from today.Meanwhile, a world record has been made for the tricolor in Chandigarh.According to the information, the tricolor was hoisted with a human chain in a cricket stadium here.In this tricolor, 7000 students played their role in the world record by becoming human chain.

On August 15, the country will complete 75 years of independence.Therefore, this year under the campaign of the Central Government, the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence is being celebrated across the country.The tricolor yatra has also started from today at every home.Meanwhile, the tricolor was hoisted with the biggest human chain at the cricket stadium located in Sector 16 in Chandigarh.7000 students participated in this chain.

Union Culture Minister Meenakshi Lekhi, Chandigarh Administrator Banwarilal Purohit and wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt (Olympic medalist) reached the stadium to attend the flag hoisting program organized by NID Foundation and Chandigarh University.Purohit congratulated all the participants for receiving this title and urged the people to hoist the national flag in their homes.The students also made a tricolor-like figure in the air while themselves lined up for the human tricolor in the presence of the Guinness Book of World Records team.

Swapnil Dangrikar, an official of the Guinness World Records adjudicator, who was also present at the event, verified the record and said, “The previous world record for the largest human image waving the national flag was held by GEMS Education in Abu Dhabi. Also known as Chandigarh This human chain made in India has been broken. 

When the previous record was set The United Arab Emirates set a world record with the Human National Flag in 2017 with 4130 people.Speaking on the occasion, Governor Banwarilal Purohit said that 75th anniversary of India’s Independence Day with successful creation of world record has given a great message to the whole world.“This event has become bigger than I could have imagined. I extend my heartiest congratulations to S Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor of Chandigarh University and Principal Patron of NID Foundation, whose team has achieved this feat.
